Old Dude, Just today my son Chris got the laptop you sent to me so graciously set up so, even I, with no feeling in my hands can operate it. Thanks so very much. I will get here alot more often after this.


We are doing as well as can be expected.. Some days are better than others. The pressure sore on my backside is all healed, but it took 5 months in bed with great caregivers here at the Crystal Piines nursing home in Crystal Lake, IL where Carol and I now reside and share a room.   ---------------- January 3rd, 2013 will be our forty-sixth anniversary.

Actually it was Robert Trone, son of the late Captain Dennis Trone, who mooned me from the piothouse of steamboat Julia belle Swain about 1986. Got a good snapshot of it too. Not wanting to embarrass anyone, i burnt the slide in front of Robert yeas ago..

If you think voice recognition software, mentioned above, Dragon Naturally Speaking, would be doable/helpful for you, there is a standing order from a Mudcatter to buy it for you, no problem. Just say the word!

the most embarrassing photo-opportunity I ever was saw was an opportunity I didn't take!

A young lady of my acquaintance was wearing her first grown-up ball gown - no longer in short skirts with lacy pantalettes on view, she was wearing a beautiful white crinoline & sitting on the carpet talking to a friend, so I took a photo. Next minute this vision of young ladyiness had flopped backward & raised her crinoline showing she was wearing her bright coloured floral flannelette pyjamas underneath.

I couldn't have outrun her so didn't take the pic BUT I told EVERYONE!
