Jackie Oates

Jackie Oates is a singer and fiddle player hailing from Staffordshire. Her unique treatment of English ballads and songs, and pure, haunting singing style has attracted increasing attention.
Since appearing as a finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards 2003, she has performed extensively at festivals and folk clubs across the country, in a solo capacity and with a number of bands. She was a founder member of Northumbrian group and Mercury nominated Rachel Unthank and the Winterset until early 2007. Tonight Jackie is accompanied by guitarist Tristan Seume

'Oates remains the sweetest voice of her generation ' Independent On Sunday ****

Suntrap
Suntrap perform both their own material and the best of the traditional and contemporary folk repertoire. The songwriters (Sara Byers and Paul Hoad) create original, innovative works drawing on English song tradition and American Folk & Country.

Suntrap play all over the UK and Europe at major folk festivals, folk clubs and arts centres. When not headlining, Suntrap have supported such major artists as Kate Rusby, Kathryn Tickell, Waterson Carthy, Martin Carthy, The Albion Band, The Oyster Band and Vin Garbutt.

Stuart Forester
Stuart Forester is a singer/songwriter/guitarist and mountain dulcimer player from Cumbria, who is firmly based in the folk storytelling tradition.

His songs recount tales of gypsy funerals, fox hunting, North Sea trawler fishing, dustmen and skinheads, 16th century prostitutes, fairground workers, emigration, piracy on the Irish Sea and the odd protest rant for good measure.

Stuart was born in Cumbria and from six months old raised in mobile homes and tents in Canada and Alaska during the Forester family's three year great adventure.
