It's nice to know there will be at least one guest at the festival. Probably.

I just spent the entire morning spring cleaning and listening to every chantey and sea song on my ipod. Really daydreaming about the festival the music, the friends, the sights, sounds and even the smells of the waterfront. Only about eight weeks now I love this time of the year. See you all soon

I don't know if it is the same building. If it is, it must be a different part of the building. Two years ago we were in a dining hall (if I remember correctly), but this time it sounds like we will be in an auditorium. As I recall, two years ago we got directions to parking and the building when we got to the gate. There's a map here, but I don't have a printer. Off to the library to use their's! http://www.cga.edu/campus2.aspx?id=50

good for you... even if it's only for a few hours a day/night... what do we call the after pub sing, but not yet dawn time?

I'm going to try once again to get there early enough on Thurs. to actually make the concert & pub sing... here's hoping no last minute crisis arises.

Is McAllister Hall the same buidling we used 2 years ago?

The group from Poland is "Sąsiedzi" (which means "The Neighbors," they tell me). I saw them a couple of years ago in Bay City, Michigan at the tall ships festival there. They are excellent!

I must correct myself! According to this thread http://www.mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=149651&messages=1, it appears that Friday's Symposium will be at the US Coast Guard Academy. Marc Bernier, who started the new thread, is an insider at the seaport. However, this site http://www.mysticseaport.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.viewPage&page_id=47E8BDB0-65B8-D398-7B968471E18B4FAD still indicates(as of now) that it is at UConn's Avery Point campus! I hope that will be updated soon. I will keep checking right up until the start of the festival, and I'm sure the correct site will be announced at Thursday night's concert!

Now that Chantey Blast is over, it's time for this thread about the 34th annual Sea Music Festival. The dates are Thursday evening, June 6, through late Sunday afternoon, June 9. Festival organizer Geoff Kaufman announced some of the performers. They include Kapriol! from the Netherlands, AcquAria from Sicily, a group from Poland whose name I didn't catch, Danny Spooner (Australia), Sara Grey (Scotland), and from the US: Debra Cowan, William Pint and Felicia Dale, Hoolie, Jerry Bryant, Jon Campbell, and Mary Garvey. Not much is available on the website yet, but more will be added. http://www.mysticseaport.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.viewPage&page_id=C9BE0FCF-D86E-382C-FA65352B6393646D
