Just took a punt on Ebay and got a Technics SX-k700 it works very well but the onboard sequencer is a complete mystery to me any catters out there with help/advice most welcome

My wife has a SX-K200 which she never mastered, complete with handbooks.
64 pages, plus a get-started 16 pages of sheet music.
I have no idea what a sequencer is, sorry.
If no-one else can help with better-matched model #s, I'll photo-copy and post. Problem is, I live in New Zealand.

Have you tried the manufacturers online? Lots of new tech stuff these days doesn't come with paper handbooks, just in some massive PDF!
