A good number coming but still room for more: hopefully all over before the next big dump of snow comes!

Lovely, just down the road to the loch and so much history in the town, if there's time for that!

We're really looking forward to the Singers' Gathering on 9 Feb - a tempting array of workshops and performances from Sandra Kerr, Barbara Dymock, Aileen Carr and Natalie Chalmers.

There are *still tickets available* so snap them up and don't miss out on a great day!

Giving this a bump: more tickets sold this week, but still places for the workshops (which should be pre-booked)Tickets on the door for the concert.

EXTRA EVENT - Sunday 10th February – English Concertina workshop with Sandra Kerr

We are delighted to be continuing the biennial Singers' Gatherings which have been taking place in various venues around West Lothian since the late 90s.

It is a rare opportunity for singers North of the Border to be tutored by Sandra Kerr, who is currently a tutor on the Newcastle Traditional Music Degree course, and has an illustrious CV in traditional music, and huge experience of working with singing groups, including the massive Folk Choir at Sidmouth Folkweek every year:
see http://www.ncl.ac.uk/sacs/staff/profile/sandra.kerr

As usual, we have invited a Young Traditional Singer of Merit to take part in the evening concert, a role that has previously been occupied by such fine singers as Shona Donaldson, Siobhan Miller, Ewan Robertson, and Alistair Ogilvy. This time it falls to Natalie Chalmers, who has wowed audiences at Cullerlie Singing weekend and elsewhere in and beyond her native North-East.

Barbara Dymock will be ably assisted in her morning workshop by Aileen Carr, has an entertaining talk/workshop planned for the afternoon, and then joins forces with Chris Marra (brother of the late Michael) for the evening concert.
