Ocassionally, some interesting folk programs turn up on these two channels. BBC$ has some Fairport Convention & Alba has SOLAS available for a few days for those with access to BBC iplayer

The regular program for trad/folk music is "Horo Gheallaidh". Its broadcast in Gaelic with subtitles.

I watch Alba on Catchup TV on a regular basis. It's got some great music on it. Treat yourselves!

Discovered this channel some months ago. Its great for music and the subtitles help a bit. Watched Solas and really enjoyed it.

We have only recently got it on our TV package. What a joy. I even quite like one man and his dog in the gallic.
