Subject: I'll tell me Ma From: Clifton53 Date: 03 Nov 99 - 12:43 AM Now I realize just about everyone knows these lyrics, however, I saw a Tommy Makem special one time that had a whole bunch of other lyrics leading up to the main lyrics that are so well known. He sang it with one of the guys from Barley Bree and they both played tin whistles on it. Some of the verses started out with "My aunt Jane", and if I recall correctly, had a lot of food treats in the lyric. Can anyone provide these extra verses? And is the version we all know and love the original, and these lyrics added on? Clifton |
