Subject: RE: Sidders 2013 From: John MacKenzie Date: 16 Feb 13 - 08:16 AM I prefer King's Down Tail. Although it's the furthest away, I find it very civilised. Nice shop, and nice proprietors. More choice of camp sites than there is at Broaders. |

Subject: RE: Sidders 2013 From: bubblyrat Date: 15 Feb 13 - 07:07 AM This year we are hoping to stay in Axemouth (yes, AXEmouth ,near Seaton ) ; it is a small site behind an old inn serving great food , and only a short drive from Sidmouth. Last year we endured the Salcombe Regis site ; a sloping pitch next to a row of chemical toilets : hordes of screaming children on bikes : cold water in the clapped-out shower / toilet blocks ; donkeys from the nearby donkey-sanctuary braying all night long ; crumbling roads and pathways (the site is about 70 years old , and certainly looks / feels it ! ). |

Subject: RE: Sidders 2013 From: Marje Date: 15 Feb 13 - 03:58 AM For short-term camping (by the night, rather than booking a week) there is (or was a couple of years ago) camping space available at the Golf Club, which is on the road out towards Salcombe Regis. Marje |

Subject: RE: Sidders 2013 From: GUEST,Phot sans cookie Date: 14 Feb 13 - 07:00 PM Try the Salcombe Reigis campsite ( used to be the 3rd site way back when), usually £10 a night, and has a regular bus service. Wassail!! Chris |
