Two other Christmas songs are Lee Murdock's Christmas Ship and When Big Mack Comes to this Harbor. Both are about ships on the Great Lakes that delivered Christmas trees.

People are always asking if there are maritime Christmas songs..I just got the album at Fisher Poets..it is truly a wonderful cd...it is in my car so i'll be a bit vague...most of the songs on it are about Christmas with the sea in the picture...trying to make it home for christmas, losing a husband on christmas, meeting in a tavern. the author of i think aol the lyrics took tunes from other countries..iceland, italy etc. and put new words to them. the singing and instrumentation are superb. my favorite line is something like someone went over the starboard side..i gaffed his arse and saved his hide..anyway, if you are starting to think of next year's christmas concerts etc. i h ighly recommend getting this...i can post details tomorrow from cover.
