Could anyone help me locate this song? I remember hearing it on an album in the late 70's (Harry Upton on Topic?)my copy of which has long since been lost, and I can't find the song anywhere now. I may not be correct with either the singer or the label, as it was so long ago, but if anyone could either correct my memory or lead me in the direction of a scratchy old vinyl copy or a cd or a download I would be ever so grateful. Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can offer!

Copies of all my recordings, including Harry Upton's "Why Can't it Always be Saturday" are kept at Cecil Sharp House, London. Malcolm Taylor can arrange for you to get a copy.

There's a recording online at the BL: Why Can't We Always Have Saturday, sung by Cliffe Rowe (34s), which I think may be part of the song.
