I've been looking for the lyrics to two old songs that my aunt used to sing to me. The first one starts out "Oh if I had the wings of an angel, over these garden walls I would fly...."

The other one starts out "Sitting alone in an old rocking chair...I saw an old mother with silvery hair...

Sounds suspiciously like "The Prisoner's Song" my granny used to sing to me. It's in DT -- search on title or "wings of an angel

You'll find "sitting alone" in the database under 'Rocking alone in and old rocking chair"
