Subject: RE: jim mcfarlane ken wilson From: MartinRyan Date: 14 Apr 13 - 04:25 PM GUEST(2) That distinction is nearly a lost cause by now - bit like the increasingly frequent reference to "unchartered waters"... Rergards |
Subject: RE: jim mcfarlane ken wilson From: The Sandman Date: 14 Apr 13 - 04:46 PM I always understood it was uncharted waters |
Subject: RE: jim mcfarlane ken wilson From: MartinRyan Date: 14 Apr 13 - 04:56 PM Exactly, Dick - it WAS! Words and phrases change meaning. Nowadays, more people know what a "charter" is than what a "chart" is (in the old sense). Regards |
Subject: RE: jim mcfarlane ken wilson From: The Sandman Date: 15 Apr 13 - 04:20 AM I prefer uncharted whisky. |
