Subject: The letter 'd' after some threads. From: GUEST,Guest, Jan Date: 19 Apr 13 - 02:17 AM Hello: I noticed that some threads (after so many postings) have the letter "d" after the thread title. Could someone please explain what this means and do threads always get this letter "d" after they reach a certain amount of responses/postings? Also, can you still add a comment and post a response to someone's thread, once a thread gets the letter "d?" Jan |

From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 19 Apr 13 - 02:35 AM Gidday, Jan When a thread exceeds 50 posts, it can be looked at page by page by clicking the number that is bolded & followed by an star - eg. 58*(50 posts on page 1, 8 posts on page 2) These pages can also be looked at in descending order with last post first if you click on the "d" instead of the number. sandra |
Subject: RE: The letter 'd' after some threads. From: Nigel Parsons Date: 19 Apr 13 - 04:36 AM In answer to the latter part of the question, yes, responses can still be posted. The 'd' is very helpful if you've already read the bulk of the discussion as it takes you straight to the most recent additions. Nigel |

Subject: RE: The letter 'd' after some threads. From: Bill D Date: 19 Apr 13 - 03:27 PM The main use is that if a thread hits 53...or 103...and you were reading it at about 42, loading the last set (when it's divided into 50s) gives you only 3 posts. Loading it 'd'...descending... gives you 53 down to 23, so you can easily catch up... although upside down. (makes perfect sense to me..) |
