Subject: Guitar duets by 'Will & Wolfie' From: Will Fly Date: 27 Apr 13 - 04:03 AM I've been playing guitar duets - jazz, blues, rags, etc. - with my old mate Chris "Wolfie" Wolferstan for some time now, but we've never actually made any videos of ourselves playing together. So we got together for half an hour on Friday morning and jammed on a few hoary old favourites... And the results were: I'm Confessing That I Love You Dill Pickles Sweet Georgia Brown Satan Takes A Holiday Bye Bye Blues Chris is a great guitar player from Brighton (UK), and wit - we play in pubs and clubs and always have lots of fun. |
Subject: RE: Guitar duets by 'Will & Wolfie' From: GUEST,Jon Heslop Date: 27 Apr 13 - 06:30 AM Oh Wow! What can one say? In the few years since I first met him I've always rated Wolfie as one of the best guitar players around. Never heard or seen Will before but definitely another maestro. People should travel a long way and pay good money to see and hear music this good. Keep on making those sounds Guys. Jon |

Subject: RE: Guitar duets by 'Will & Wolfie' From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 27 Apr 13 - 02:07 PM Great playing. Is Wolfie playing the guitar without looking at it? Charles Johnson, who wrote Dill Pickles, lived just a mile or two from me. He published over 300 songs. |

Subject: RE: Guitar duets by 'Will & Wolfie' From: Alan Day Date: 29 Apr 13 - 05:05 AM Will and Wolfie have done two great evenings for us at the Sorrel Horse in Shottisham. Highly recommended for a Folk Club a smashing mixture of music brilliantly played. Al |
Subject: RE: Guitar duets by 'Will & Wolfie' From: Will Fly Date: 29 Apr 13 - 05:12 AM Thanks for the recommendation, Al. We had two great evenings at Shottisham. We're looking forward to a guest evening at Seaford Folk Club in December, and we have quite a few pub gigs here and there in between times. Our club appearances are not just the jazzy stuff in the videos - we also do more rags, old-time mandolin and guitar duets, music hall material and country blues by people like Doc Watson and John Hurt, with quite a bit of singing. |
