Yes, that was us at Broughton. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I don't know who you spoke to last year but I contacted the club committee and they don't have anything in the diary relating to your event. I have passed on the telephone number and email address from the Jerry Green Dogs website for the North Lincolnshire event so, hopefully, someone will be getting in contact soon for more information.

BTW...there's a regular open session every second Sunday of the month in Redbourne2 mins from A15.
It's usually about 15-20 musicians, singers and even the occasional clog dance; next one is May 12 (this Sunday).

As you have north Lincs connections,I thought I'd mention it!

My sister-in-law lives there, and intermittently wants to learn fiddle. I'll alert her.

After almost 20 years at Wootton Village Hall in North Lincolnshire, UK, the Wootton Fiddle Club is moving to 14 miles to the south-west to Scawby Village Hall. As a consequence, the name of the club has been changed to the North Lincs Fiddle Club

Scawby is approximately 6 miles south-east of Scunthorpe, close to junction 4 on the M180 motorway.

The Fiddle Club includes everyone from beginner to expert and from kids up to pensioners. We play traditional music of the sort you would find in a local session but at a pace to suit the participants. We start of off learning tunes part by part and build up to full session speed. Nobody minds if you need the dots to play from, but is also suited to those who want to learn by ear. Also everything in the fiddle family is welcome, from violin up to double bass.

If you have a fiddle tucked up in the attic that you haven't played since you don't know when;
If you are classical player who would like to learn other styles;
If you are an expert who could pass on that expertise and encourage others;
then why not come and join us at the North Lincs Fiddle Club.

We meet at Scawby Village Hall on the 1st Sunday of each month except for August (and maybe Janury, depending on how close the 1st Sunday is to New Year's Day) from 2.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. There is no annual membership fee, just a charge of £3-00 per session including tea and biscuits.

Our next meeting is Sunday, 2nd June, 2013. We'd love to see you there!
