Definitely not Folk 1954. But he plays a hammered dulcimer in a unique manner. I saw him in SF several years ago. Anyone else know of him?

Yes. I have 2 tapes that I bought from him when he played the streets of Santa Cruz Ca. He attaches smaller "bow hammers" on each finger that can hammer , pluck or bow. He plays a Gypsy cimbalom rather than standard Celtic dulcimer and uses effects. The sound is amazing. From what I've seen on Wikipedia I think, he still is out there doing it 20 odd years later.
