Opener/support tonight is from our newest Resident, David Hirst, with a fine mix of trad. and own-writes reminding me at times of early Lou Killen and at others of Robin Pecknold from Fleet Foxes.
Doors from 7PM, music from 8PM.
Real ale coupled with a laugh, a song and a see-saw - what else would you want?!

Les is also at Chester festival over the weekend (presumably not on Friday, though)

"Alison, Hilary and Chris musically recreate the weird and wonderful world of the internationally acclaimed poet, philosopher, photographer and fruitcake..."

Come on, people, this sounds great!

Great news for fans of Mrs Ackroyd
They will be appearing in Southport on Friday 24th May in one of the Bothy Folk Clubs Friday Night Specials, at the Bothy's usual venue of the Park Golf Club Southport.
Please come in droves to hear & see the poems of Les Barker visualised & sung by the Ackroyds.
Cheers
Les
