I see the new Coen brothers film "Inside Llewyn Davis" is considerably inspired by Dave Van Ronk and "The Mayor Of MacDougal Street" - the Coens bought an option on the book.

Apparently there are performances of Cocaine, Hang me Oh Hang Me, Green Green Rocky Road etc by Oscar Isaac and others. This info from a gent called Kelly Grant who's just seen it in Cannes!

Might be worth seeing??

Just tryin' to catch up with the repetitive "Songcatcher" threads that were so popular I guess. I think it had either 9 or 10 so this one has a ways to go yet.
