I was working on the old car today and suddenly it caught fire! Damn, the wiring is almost as old as mine.
I suppose Midchuck will parody this too. The car is a light brown, so I can hear it now... when the old dun car caught fire...

Kendall, the parodies we do are usually started by Kris. She's the one who comes up with the concepts and the skeleton of a song, and I just flesh it out.

I thought I'd join this conversation with my own horror story that just happenned. I recently had to MC a concert at our local library, and afterwards I picked up a couple of guitars to help carry the performer's many instruments to their car. These guitars and cases were the heaviest darned things I'd every seen. As I picked them up, my right foot snapped.

I've been wearing a three thousand pound "walking cast" for a month now. Next week I'll get the foot x-rayed again, and we'll see where we go from there.

At first I thought the problem was heavy guitars, but now I realize the real problem is that I've just lived too long. So besides mechanic's creepers, avoid guitars! bob(deckman)nelson

Yessir. I am getting a bit wary of the possibility of falling too. I fell down a flight of stairs when I was 20-something, simply missed the top step for some reason, and it hurt me in about 7 or 8 different places, but nothing got broken. If it happened now, I shudder to think what it would do to me.

My wake-up call was almost 6 years ago when I broke my arm because I was in a hurry. But I was a kid of 58 then...and Tom could not only still see, but had his voice and had no problems walking...

I HAVE to be careful and I'm reminded of it constantly. I just helped Tom to the table (from his bed) because he couldn't see. He couldn't see my face in front of him when I went to kiss him.

Not only can he no longer take care of me if I do something stupid, but he'd have no one to take care of HIM (but strangers).

So, ultimately my broken arm was a good thing -- it made me very aware that I can no longer take the chances of youth. I have to keep myself safe so Tom can, too, be safe.

Now...STOP SCARING THE CRAP OUT OF JACQUI!!!!
