Over at The Foggy Furze Folk Club, held at the Athanaeum Club in Church Street each week, we've been wonderfully entertained by Dave Gibb, our Scottish friend, this Tuesday with his own songs and his own slant on life. So funny.

Our next guest is to be Miriam Backhouse Erasmus who hasn't been to see us for a couple of years. Mim delivers wonderfully acted out songs and delivers stories with panache.

There are regular acoustic evenings held by the Pools Folk and Acoustic Club at the Nursery Inn in Hopps Street, Hartlepool each Monday, and the next Headland Folk Club evening should be Friday, 24 May 2013. There'll be someone to greet you and make you welcome.

So, if you want a folkie fix there's plenty going on. Over at the FFFC, we're happy to welcome you any Tuesday for only a pound, unless there's a guest, when it's £2.
