That was a lovely evening with some lovely singing celebrating another landmark in the Herga history

A big well done to everyone it was a privilege to be part of the celebration.

A big thanks must go to those who have guided this famous world renowned folk club over the years to the present day

The present guardians we thank you

a well done must go the the 'newdie' members who acquitted themselves admirably

usual rubbish next Monday

Who would have thought it? We don't look a day older than 50 – collectively, as Herga, of course!
But yes, this Monday we are celebrating 50 years of unbridled singing, song collecting, story telling, Morris Dancing, Mumming, sandals and Arran sweater wearing.
Relationships were built, babies were made, friends came (and many stayed) but some eventually left us to head to all points of the compass, and some upwards too.
Brick by brick the Wall of Sound was built, maintained, renewed, repaired. And it's still standing.

And so are we!
