No not the hockey pucks... I mean UCLA.
Tonight my almamammy has can win its first ever College World Series; if not tonight surely tomorrow night.
UCLA has won the most collegiate team championships aggregated amongst all sports, 108, including women's sports, followed by Stanford, 99 and USC (socal not socar) 98.
Men only the top three, in order, are USC, UCLA, Stanford.
Women only, the top three, still in order, Stanford, UCLA, USC.
We got some dang fine athaletic programs ratcher in California.

I wish you well. It's nice to support "yer team". Makes it more than "just a sport". Many may deplore such but I inderstand both points of view so... have fun with it.

They did it with an 8-zip shutout.
Now all's we need is a national football championship (in the immortal words of Ian Tyson) someday...soon!

Congrats on the World Series, Bruin fans. But don't count on any gridiron glory anytime soon. The man who is going to finally break the SEC stranglehold on the BCS is coaching in the Buckeye Nation. And what the heck happened to Shabazz.

The heck that happened to Shabazz is that he was draft #14 in the first round and traded to Minnesota where at there is another UCLA 1-and-done, Kevin Love. God how I hate that system!

If Love had stayed a couple of more years, I think the Bruins might have won a championship. I'm not for sure it makes a difference that Shabazz left; many games his head seemed elsewhere...counting the days to the draft???

That's what I mean. Slipping so far. Just last fall he was the next big thing. He was projected high lottery if not the #1 pick. I'm afraid the days of the elite players doing more than a year in college are gone. Most of them wouldn't do the one if they didn't have to.
