Yes Lawrie, there'll be a tune session in the boat room in the Minerva, far enough away from the singers so they don't get up each others' noses! As for {talented} people who do both, near enough so they can commute (if they so desire). Maybe see you tomorrow, in Black Boy?

Plenty going on for everyone Lawrie!!.. Web site updated all the time.I have just returned from the London and working on the Minerva singaround/tunes publicity blurb as we speak!!

We still run our Wed afternoon Elderly Gentlemens Binge Drinking Club; (Folk section)every Wednesday in the Black Boy if you have nowt to do some time?.

Thanks Les, a very good session, I thought, just the right size, plenty of musicians and a good audience.
And it will be very good to see you again Mick, since the Welly sessions stopped our paths haven't much crossed except in Sullivan's in Hornsey!
However, do not expect me at any midweek lush sessions in Hull, I'm still doing my bit for heducashun on the South Bank!
I'll keep looking on the website.

There'll be a sort of Survivor's Concert of maritime related songs in the Maritime Museum on the Sunday from 2pm to 4pm featuring Spare Hands, plus others tba.

As you can see by the website we have a great line up and a very comprehensive programme of events.

We are all on track for the festival.A few tickets left for the Friday night concert.One or two for the Saturday night.

There is a few spaces left for campervans,these are situated in Blanket row near the Hull Marina. Please contact me or pm with your reg. details if you want a space.


Polly Sowden and myself will be on Radio Humberside tommorow Wednesday at 4.00pm promoting this event.

Sorry about that Paul,.I will adjust that on the publicity with Adam and Robin.We have all been flying around like lunatics for last coupla weeks trying to get all stuff sorted.

Everything is looking great as we speak.If the footfall is as good as the Sess fest a coupla weeks ago(40,000) will be fantastic!!

The Blue Bell folk club exhibition is looking really good; original stuff from both the Folk Union One and The Rugby Folk club.

"harriWattsband" will be in Minerva Saturday 5.30 doing a short acoustic set and Green Bricks 8pm doing a much longer set plugged into that electric watts stuff!! see what I did their;-)

Well, we had a fantastic time at Hull today. Apologies to Maggie and Les that we didn't make it back into the Minerva singaround after our guest spot - we ended up outside talking to lots of folks we hadn't seen in a long time. It sounded great from outside though, and there was a lovely atmosphere all round. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks to all involved in making it such a nice day!

Great success in my opinion. Visited all three music venues which were packed to the rafters.Well done to all those involved.

New session started in Hull. 8pm. every other Thursday at the Gardeners Arms Cottingham Rd.

Yes, great success. Well done to the organisers. Just a few logistical problems which could easily be ironed out for next year. The organisers need to get their act together quickly though for next year if they want to be part of the festival circuit.

What's likely to be the main theme of the session, Mally?

Anything goes? Irish? English? Singing allowed? Mixture? When is the next one?

Very well pleased with the festival.A massive turn out from the people of Hull..well done to all our guests ..I will be contacting you all shortly.

A very good response to our extra events in Minerva and the maritime museum, thanks to all of you who volunteered their time to make this a very enjoyable event.
