The first shots of the autoharp appear at footage 14:14. Stick with this interesting travelog and you'll see several more shots and audio clips of this instrument. I don't think it's overlly different from the autoharps I see today. bob(deckman)nelson

14.14 is how long the video lasts. I made that mistake. The first shots of it appear at 09.26.

I'm wondering whether it is a home-made autoharp. I've never seen one like it.
Although the video was uploaded in 2009, I reckon it is much older, going by the vehicles and clothing. Possibly 1980s?

The slanted bars are a neat idea, making the clumsy above-the-bars Maybelle Carter playing position unnecessary. Certainly looks like a one-off experiment.
