Richard, (and anyone else who may be able to help) if you're 'out there'...

Is it possible for the British People to ask for the British Government to be investigated by the police?

Lord John (Edmund)Browne is now working in Whitehall as a governmental advisor on Fracking. He has huged vested interests in Cuadrilla, the fracking company who are about to start fracking Balcombe, in Sussex, to pieces shortly....

Surely this is Vested Interests?

WHY is this being allowed to happen? And can we, The People, stop it, from a legal point of view..for this is Corruption at the highest level and it will impact on the futures of us all, eventually, if this horrendous situation is allowed to continue.

Can I contact the police, for instance?   I know that sounds daft, but I'm getting more than a bit desperate and so foooooooooking angry at what is now going on....

FRACKtured Future - BRILLIANT video!!!

Nearly 3 hours long but SO worth watching! Ian is a former oil man himself, so he knows exactly what he's talking about here....

I thought I already knew a lot about fracking, but I learnt a LOT more least night..

This is the film Ian speaks of in his video. 'Split Estate' refers to a new law brought in because of the fracking industry, which now means that you ONLY own the SURFACE of your land, with a few inches to grow food/flowers in...and the rest of the land underneath where you live, can be fracked without you even being TOLD they're doing this! The noxious gases cannot be smelt, but they will find their way up through the surface of your land and into the very air you breathe in....

Horrendous!

And...the Split Estate law comes from our Royal Family, from way back.

I got that wrong, above. Damn those who ran/run my country!!

which now means that you ONLY own the SURFACE of your land

There's no "now" about it, that's always been the case.

I haven't watched it, but if that's what it's saying then it's wrong. It has long been the case that mineral rights could be owned separately from the surface of the land, and some mineral rights are owned by the Crown.

What has changed recently is that some mineral rights now have to be registered.

There's a summary here , if you're interested

Thank you, Howard.

Yes, it was the British Crown that brought in the law originally, way back. This has been taken up in other places where Mrs. Queen hangs out, like Australia and Canada...

So, the CEO of Cuadrilla is also the 'government advisor on fracking'

Surely Conflict Of Interests must come in here, legally..

First, is he a special advisor to a government department or a policy advisor to either of the two parties in power?

No such thing as a government advisor. He is either ministerial / department advisor or a political advisor.

Any reporting of possible conflict of interest needs to be in respect of who he advises. An expert on fracking is an excellent departmental advisor, whilst politically, his vested interest could cloud his judgement.

Some advisors are about "shall we" whilst some are about "how do we." I'm not knocking the concern, just whether probity is an issue or not.

The article by a lawyer from Dickinson Dees seems accurate. The traditional starting point is that ownership of land extends "usque media inferum ad coelum" but may be severed in many ways - for example flying freeholds in flats.

I am inclined to think that Lizzie is off on one again. Our Lizzie, not the other one.

No, no, no, I'm not...I'm just trying to think of ways to Stop The Bastards...

They're all so corrupt and so rich now that they seem to think they're above the law.

Are they, Richard?

As I write good folks are holding off the Cuadrilla trucks in Balcombe, Sussex, where masses of them arrived today to start preparation for drilling a bore hole. They've been given a permit for this by the Environment Agency, also covering the disposal of the waste water (and chemicals, of course) produced by this...The water is apparently going to be put into steel lined containers (not harmful then???) until it can be 'treated'...

Who the feck TREATS it though, and decides it's OK to put back into our water systems, who knows.

Time is running out to stop The Feckers...so any ideas would be gratefully received, O Grumpy One   :0)

Remember we're talking about the Govenment and The Law here. Parliament passes laws and then proceeds to find ways around those laws for their own benefit, vid expenses, lobbying etc., etc., etc.
