Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: Joe_F Date: 05 Aug 13 - 09:18 PM Conkeror, likewise, is now behaving normally. Hoo bloody ray! |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: ChanteyLass Date: 04 Aug 13 - 11:45 PM Thank you, Max! I'm assuming you fixed this problem when Mudcat was down on Saturday. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: Grampus Date: 31 Jul 13 - 08:13 AM Not happening in Opera, but happens in Chrome, using Win 8 |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: GUEST,Abdul sans cookie Date: 31 Jul 13 - 04:42 AM I get it too using Iron, (based on Chrome). Al |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: GUEST Date: 30 Jul 13 - 10:05 AM Ditto, G-Force. (I use Chrome.) |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: Amos Date: 29 Jul 13 - 11:57 AM Not a problem for me in Chrome. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: G-Force Date: 29 Jul 13 - 07:26 AM Hmmm... I just installed Adblock Plus (thanks for the recommendation), so now I don't get the ads coming up, but it's still jumping to the bottom anyway even though there's no ad there to jump to. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: GUEST Date: 28 Jul 13 - 06:52 PM 'Not happening on IE in Windows XP but still happening on Chrome in Win 7 !!' Ditto. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: GUEST,Peter Date: 28 Jul 13 - 06:20 PM Still happening on Firefox 19 under Win 7 |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: Leadfingers Date: 28 Jul 13 - 05:43 PM Ooops !! Not happening on IE in Windows XP but still happening on Chrome in Win 7 !! |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: Joe_F Date: 28 Jul 13 - 11:18 AM It is still happening with my browser (Conkeror, a dialect of Firefox). On coming up, Mudcat immediately moves to the bottom of the page. Likewise after returning from following any link. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: VirginiaTam Date: 28 Jul 13 - 07:25 AM I never click the ads on Mudcat anymore. I was doing it everytime I visited in order to help Max out. But I picked up a load of malware somewhere, and I can't think how except by clicking on the ads on Mudcat. Took my son about 3 hours to C-clean my laptop. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: Leadfingers Date: 28 Jul 13 - 07:04 AM Seems to have been cleared up now ! Thank Max or whoever . |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: GUEST,Jon Date: 27 Jul 13 - 02:54 AM It is not a problem limited to Firefox. Of the browsers I've tried (on Linux), the problem exists on Firefox, Chromium (the browser Chrome is built on) and Konquerer. Opera is OK. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: Dave Hanson Date: 27 Jul 13 - 02:43 AM It's a Firefox problem, it doesn't do it in IE. Dave H |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: maeve Date: 26 Jul 13 - 09:54 PM Adblock Plus as SRS says, but I do allow the ads from time to time to click for Max's Mudcat expenses. There's a thread regarding the jumping business...I think it will be solved when Max has time for such things, and I'm willing to deal with it until then. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: Stilly River Sage Date: 26 Jul 13 - 09:11 PM I use Adblock Plus and have no such problem. https://adblockplus.org |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Advertising From: Joe_F Date: 26 Jul 13 - 07:49 PM Hear, hear! It seems to have just started. I'm glad to know it isn't some whim of my browser. |
Subject: Mudcat Advertising From: Leadfingers Date: 26 Jul 13 - 06:59 PM I fully understand that Max needs Advertising Revenue to fund this site but having to get back to the top of the page after it has jumped to the advert at the bottom EVERY Time you hit return is , to put it mildly IRRITATING ! Please advise how to avoid this . |
