Subject: Acoustic instrument stores in NC, USA From: borborygmus Date: 03 Aug 13 - 11:14 AM I will be visiting the Raleigh/Durham, NC area next week and wondered if anyone can recommend good stores for acoustic instruments. Will be mostly window shopping and enjoying the instruments, but might be tempted into a new mandolin if I see one which takes my fancy! I expect there are great places towards Asheville, but I don't want to drive that far. (I live in the UK.) |

Galax is closer than Asheville, but still a hike. Roger Sprung always has lots of Banjos and others sell guitars, mandolins and of course fiddles. Usually, the best music is back stage and is informal. You could throw in a side trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC to The Blue Ridge Music Center. |
