Good stuff!

I'd have liked a longer chantey sing in the evening, but I'm sure most people - especially Peter - were extremely tired by then. (It would have helped, too, if I'd actually shown up on time!...I was hoofing it over from Market St.) Plus, they get their monthly dose of that!

Congrats to all on job well done.

The festival was a great success! Thanks to all the performers, volunteers and park staff. Our crew of volunteers worked diligently and competently througyhout the day, and the performers really appreciated their hard work and helpfulness. The weather was beautiful (though windy), the performances great, and there was an easygoing festive atmosphere to the whole event (months of preparation make for an easygoing atmosphere on festival day). People came from Florida, Arizona and Oregon, and who knows where else. Proud to work at this national park which values traditional music and dance.

The festival draws near! All is in place for a great day and evening of music. Though drizzly this morning, the weather report for Saturday calls for no rain. printable performance schedule is at the link provided above by ClaireBear.

Sorry, that should be Brian Peters, not "briqan Peters."

The store will also be selling tickets to the park's 25th annual Sea Music Concert Series. Concerts info at http://www.nps.gov/safr/planyourvisit/seamusicconcert2013.htm

I hope to be there, if I can get the logistics worked out. Look out for the big boy, 21 stone of TNT!

I'm going to miss it as well but Judy and I will be in Sacramento the week beginning October 8th. Be nice to take the light rail down the San Francisco and do a song party if anyone is interested that week.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble

It sounds wonderful. The kind of event that might even persuade my husband to get a passport!
But seriously, hope it all goes well.

Here's a clicky, and anyway the "TM" is missing off the end of that URL: Sea Music Festival at Hyde Street Pier

Sea music and the historic ships are a great combination. And if you come, do say hello! As the Dogwatch Nautical Band's only female, I'm fairly easy to identify.
