Subject: Lyr Req: Lyrics to 'We love the college girls'?

Fred Waring's Pennysylvanians recorded this in the 1920s, and Michael Cooney used to do a great rendition with guitar and kazoo. I can't find a recording of MC's version, and can't quite catch what they're singing on the Waring record. Does anyone have the lyrics in writing?

I LOVE THE COLLEGE GIRLS*
Words and music by Moe Jaffe and Nat Bonx, ©1927.
As sung by Harry Reser and His Orchestra.

Rah! Rah!
Siss boom bah!
Here we are, girls.
Rah, rah, rah!

We love the college girls.
We love the college girls.
I'll say we do.
Positively!
They're so remarkable,
And intellectual.
No!
Yes!
They really know their oats,
Raccoon and squirrel coats,
Paid for or not.
I shouldn't say it,
But they get away with a terrible lot.
They join sororities
That are authorities
On ways of men.
Absolutely!
I wouldn't doubt it
If they learned about it from them.
Rah, rah, rah!
Siss boom bah!
Oh, please don't tell my ma!
We love the college girls.

Rah! Rah!
Siss boom bah!

We love the college girls.
We love the college girls.
I'll say we do.
Positively!
They're entertaining,
And when it is raining,
Oh, boy!
Joy!
They spend the money
And they think it's funny
When pa does a rave(?).
They shoot a wicked sight(?).
Pa hasn't got the price
Of a good shave.
They like fraternities
Who have celebrities
Of football fame.
Okay!
Out go the chaperones,
Then they can play a long game.
Rah, rah, rah!
Siss boom bah!
Oh, please don't tell my ma!
We love the college girls.

* This is the title under which the sheet music was published. Apparently several recording artists changed the pronoun from "I" to "we," at least in the lyrics if not the title.

Indiana University has the sheet music, although it is not viewable online. Their catalog entry indicates there is a missing verse that begins: "Listen, all you pets, college Juliets: Johnnie Brown is back in...."

There were also early recordings by:
Bill Perry's Entertainers (1926)
Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians (1926)
Six Hayseeds (1927)
Six Jumping Jacks (1927)
Tom Stacks and His Minute Men (1927)
Billy Jones and Ernest Hare (1927)
Topnotchers (1927)
California Ramblers (1927)

Dear Jim,

Many, many thanks, for the lyrics and trove of other info. Are you at IU, perchance? I once worked there, long ago. Great place.
