You might look on eBay for the prices of memorabilia relating to comparable performers from a few decades before - dunno what "comparable" might be, maybe Lonnie Donegan, the Supremes, Jacqueline du Pre, Sandy Denny, Jimmy Savile, well maybe not that one... I suspect a performer has to be in the Buddy Holly league for fame and early death before you'd get your money back on resale. |

Subject: merch 4 gigs u cudn't c~ worth ownin ?? From: Claire M Date: 31 Aug 13 - 10:02 AM Memorabilia from gigs you couldn't get to – worth having?? Hiya, [apologies for text speak in title, couldn't fit it in] I'm toying w/ idea of collecting it for my fav. band, who I doubt will be touring for much longer. I've had a look on ebay & found loads – inc. mummers play script (love everything mediaeval as well)– but as I wasn't born when my favs had their heyday, is it a daft idea? Seems to be quite expensive, & would take a lot of time & effort – converting £££ to $$$ cos it's on ebay.com/ca etc. rather than ebay.co.uk, +ing it all up etc. but I love said band so much I light up when I even think about seeing them ☻ § ← see that? |
