Will is a master English melodeon player with a strong & unique style. In his early teens he formed the acclaimed ceilidh band Bedlam. He plays and dances with White Rose Morris, Dog Rose and The Newcastle Kingsmen, & is a key member of the BBC Folk Award-winning Demon Barbers.
The workshop will cover elements of Will's distinctive style of playing, using ornamentation and dynamics to explore tune development and variation of both traditional and original music.
Some music is ready to be sent in advance.

11.00 Dynamics, punctuation and articulation in melodeon playing

12.30 Lunch

13.30 Adding embellishments and ornamentation to a variety of British tunes.

15.00 Tea/coffee break

15.15 Learn some of Will's melodeon-friendly self-penned tunes.

16.45 Finish
