Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Paddy McTeige's soup or McTeigue's beef From: Jim Carroll Date: 04 Sep 13 - 04:46 AM The song was collected by Tom and is included in his papers housed among his papers at UCD in Dublin. He recorded it in the Cooraclare area from a singer named Joe Cooney. It is sung elsewhere by singer and flute player Séamus Mac Mathúna, who almost certainly got it from the same source. Séamus was the archivist for Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Jim Carroll |
