I'm looking for lyrics to a traditional song called Load The Tarious Load. It seems to be of Adirondack origin (NYS). Can anyone help out? The lyrics are bit hard to make out on the field recording I've got.

Lynn

"Tarriers" would certainly make more sense, but the singer is pretty clearly singing "Tarrious" (I've edited the spelling from what I was given - makes more sense that it might be related to "tarriers".) This is for a transcription project, so I want to get it as accurately to the singer's rendition as possible. "Tarrious" does not appear in any of my dictionaries, including the unabridged. LAK

Also post the source of your field recording.

"Drill ye Tarriers Drill," one sung version, is in the DT Lyrics.
Tarrier, in RR language, is a man who drills and blasts holes in rock. See last two posts in Tarrier thread.
