Her name is Melissa Greener. She's touring the UK for 2 weeks; concert in Exeter this Sat night has fallen through, so she's hoping for a "replacement" gig.

I don't know her (she's a FoaF [i.e. Friend of a Friend]), but I googled her, found her website & some Youtube videos, and in my opinion she's very good. Excellent guitar playing, nice voice, and I really like the way she plays with words in this song (her own), Bullets to Bite:

Here she is doing a lovely cover of the Beatles' If I Fell:

If you're looking for seriously trad stuff, I don't think she'll fill the bill, but otherwise I think she'll offer a really enjoyable evening, so thought I'd mention it here...

If you aren't interested/can't organise something yourself, perhaps you know someone who might be/could do?

For anyone interested, here's more info:

UK tour dates:

Can anyone help?

Looking at Melissa's tour dates, I see that she is in Newport tonight (not quite so far south as Exeter) and has no more gigs until Wed 16th Oct (at The Railway Inn, Newnham-On-Severn, Gloucestershire)

Also, she does house concerts, so a huge audience is not a requirement...
