Yes, it's the Isle of Gigha. A friend, who is far from young, saw the words or the music framed on a wall somewhere there, and asked me to find out about it. Looks like her info is a bit vague. She'll try to contact someone on the island, but I thought it was worth a go here first.

Are you talking about the Isle of Gigha and if so how does it fit with the melody/tune or words you're seeking? Perhaps some background would help.

It might be Johnny McKinley. There seems to be a connection with Gigha.

The info that I have is that the tune is called "A New Dawn", and that there are lyrics by a Johnny McKinnon. I have been unable to find the tune, the words or the author, which is unusual these days, so perhaps some of my info is dodgy. Any help would be welcome.
