Subject: Headland Festival uk 11-13 April 2014 From: GUEST,the Young'Uns Date: 17 Oct 13 - 04:35 AM Hi Folks We're very excited to announce the release of weekend tickets for our very own Headland Folk Festival which is taking place in the beautiful town of Old Hartlepool over the weekend of 11-13th April 2014 The festival will feature 4 main concerts in which we'll have the pleasure to introduce and perform alongside: · The Wilson Family - 5 legendary singing Billingham Brothers just returned from storming America with Sting! · Brasy - sublime Polish sea shanty quintet. · The Hut People - footstomping, warm and engaging music from around the world with a plethora of exotic instruments. · Greg Russell & Ciaran Algar - 2013 BBC Young Folk Award winners. · Mrs Trevor's Deep Freeze Secrets - exciting 5 piece Cambridge ceilidh band. and many more....... We'll be hosting and recording special 'David Eagle interviews..' events with the artists, some special workshops and a unique Singing History Trail. There will also be lots of singarounds and sessions to join in with and enjoy in some wonderful pubs. Hotels The nearest hotels are 2.5 miles away at Hartlepool Marina and 3 miles away at Hartlepool Town Centre with a good bus service to the Headland and taxi rate of about £5/6. Hotels giving us a special festival discount are: · "The Hilcarter" on Church St (can get noisy down there on a weekend though with some clubs are open til 4am) - have got single rooms including breakfast for £48 per night for 11th and 12th - double/twin rooms for £58 per room per night including breakfast - triple rooms for £68 per room per night including breakfast · To book you must phone 01429 855800 and say you are going to the Headland Folk Festival to get the discount. · At Hartlepool Marina there are two big hotels: · Travel Lodge · Premier Inn There are a few other B&Bs that will come up on laterooms.com in Hartlepool town centre and slightly further away at Seaton Carew.
