Subject: RE: Bollington Folk Club (Cheshire) From: BollyPete Date: 31 Oct 13 - 04:44 PM Mr Happy - good to hear from you, do pop in if you're in these parts on a Friday ! You won't need to introduce yourself, though - we met last year at Bull Bay, you were kind enough to forward the dots for "Furusato" afterwards. Say hello to Tom & Helen if they're still around - I presume you're near the canal , then ! Keith (Price) - thanks for the kind words, will attempt to live up to them ! Pete |

We've had a couple of your chums visiting round here the past week or so - Tom & Helen + melodeon & recorder! We've a pal living in Adlington, so when we're aound the area, perhaps can pop in to Bollyfolk! |
Subject: Bollington Folk Club (Cheshire) From: BollyPete Date: 30 Oct 13 - 03:32 PM The long-established Bollington Folk Club at the Dog & Partridge, formerly run by Arthur Wakefield, is still going strong, every Friday at 8:30pm. Regular monthly guest nights (next being Steve Turner on 15th November) with all other Fridays being singers nights - all welcome to sing / play / listen. A wide range of folk styles welcome. See the website at Bollington Folk Club As one of our most respected guests once described us: "a proper folk club with proper folk music" And a nice warm fire as the cold nights set in ! Be great to see any forum members - make sure you introduce yourselves and let us know you heard about it here! Pete Wood |
