Subject: RE: UK SK postcode Folk Website From: Ian Hendrie Date: 01 Nov 13 - 09:39 AM Thanks for kind comments. I've just absorbed Uppermill into North Cheshre. Need to check but it seems to be OK. The site will definitely need a new name now. |
Subject: RE: UK SK postcode Folk Website From: GUEST,PeterC Date: 01 Nov 13 - 08:28 AM Looks excellent! Works perfectly on W8.1/IE10 We do a similar thing in Gloucestershire at Glosfolk but ours looks nowhere near as slick! |
Subject: RE: UK SK postcode Folk Website From: Ian Hendrie Date: 01 Nov 13 - 07:36 AM "Plus a little bit 'over the border' - would that cover Saddleworth?" Hi Paul, As the website stands as the moment Dobcross Folk Club would, I reckon, be just a little to the left of the top of the 'F' in the title so the page would need re-designing. However, I think I am inclined to do that as Dobcross Folk Club and the one at the Cross Keys ought to be included. They are within driving distance for me (Stockport) and this website is as much a memory aid for me as much as a help for others. I've been to the Cross Keys club only the once and have not yet made it to Dobcross but, you never know. I think I might have to think of a new name for the site, any suggestions? Ian |

Subject: Tech: UK SK postcode Folk Website From: Ian Hendrie Date: 31 Oct 13 - 10:39 AM A non-commercial website providing links to folk clubs and events in the SK postcode area (plus a little bit 'over the border') can be found at www.northcheshirefolk.co.uk. I will be keeping it up to date as best I can but would welcome information about clubs/events that I have missed. Any comments on the useability of the site on different operating systems and mobile devices would also be helpful. |
