I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Toronto Singer/songwriter Sam Larkin. When Sam played at Folk At The Forum in Cobourg's Victoria Hall, he gave everyone in the audience a copy of his tape. (This was pre-CDs) A woman had to leave early and when Sam was giving out the tapes he said, "Does anyone know the woman who had to leave early...Could you get this tape to her?"
Sam ended up writing an entertaining column for the Cobourg Star and the Port Hope Evening Guide under his real name. He was one of those performers who never really get the attention they deserve, but left a lasting impression on those who were a part of his audience.
