Malcolm provided most of the notes for songs at the now defunct folinfo site, but fortunately all his notes are preserved in a copy takne and kept online by one Joe Offer.

Georgina, you got that right! Regarding the South Riding Folk Arts Network, there is a webpage which Mark Nielsen has tried to maintain and re-instate. More people should be aware of this and then maybe the site will be updated more regularly.

Whenever a thread with a contribution from Malcolm Douglas comes up, it becomes obvious that - despite what is often said - some people genuinely are irreplaceable.

Malcolm lived in Sheffield and had associations with the Stirrings Folk magazine which covers activities in South Yorkshire and parts of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Raymond Greenoaken is the editor and was good friend of Malcolms I believe recent Stirrings issue covered the history of SRFN, and early Stirrings magazines (South Yorkshire Diary) which chronicled Malcolms input as contributor and editor

Stirrings is a quarterly publication and very well worth reading for

its national content cd reviews etc as wellas the local events/what's on

Malcolm was also involved in EFDSS working with Steve Gardham (from Hull) on revising song books

From what I can see of the South Riding site, it appears to have been last updated in late 2009.

That would be the South Riding Folk Network (now Folk Arts, I note). I'm not sure which others you are thinking of?

When he was alive, Malcolm Douglas was associated with a number of Websites that provided the terrific research information that he had collected over the years. One, I think, was the South Riding something-or-another. Are any of these Websites still active, or have they all been lost?
