Being aware of the prohibition on personal criticism perhaps you could explain to the inanimate drumstick that remaining in the players hand will enhance its ability to bang its head on the drum
Cheers John
p.s. if it wasn't 200 miles away I would be very tempted to attend your ceilidh.

Tee hee! We put together various clips of the band at a dance in Ditchling - video'd by a friend - together with various shots of the dancers. Mal, our drummer, was fooling about in between dance sets while Penny, our caller, was talking the dancers through the next set.

I did the final editing - and couldn't resist putting in the larking about bit where Mal threw his sticks all over the place! I think he's forgiven me... :-)

What's 200 miles between Mudcat friends, anyway? Come down for a weekend in Sussex - dance your socks off on the Saturday in Hassocks (23rd) - come along to our Sunday evening session in the Bull in Ditchling (24th) - and spend the time in between on the downs, in the pubs, strolling in Brighton... You know you want to!

Actually, John - I'm surprised you didn't spot the typo in my original post:

"Star Above The Guitar" should, of course, be "Star Above The Garter".

Doh!

I thought that was an intentional "error" referring to your good self.

A snip to a man of your cal-eye-ber. :-)

Whereabouts are you, as a matter of interest - and are there clubs and sessions in your area?

Barnsley/Sheffield area. Plenty of clubs and sessions of varying quality.
Our little trio can be found at :-
String Theory
The name is a result of a fiddling physics graduate in the band.

I know the area - I was staying up at the Royal in Dungworth a couple of years ago, and went to a small but pretty fierce session in Sheffield on the Friday (can't remember the pub).

Just seen the video on your site - it's not really David Gilmour is it...? :-)
