And the lazy coward's way to avoid the effort of getting involved.

It IS POSSIBLE for an individual to bring about substantial changes.

Goofball, have you ever actually worked on a political campaign? No, I didn't think so. Well, I've worked on several.

I helped pass two important and far-reaching environmental issues in Washington State that helped diminish pollution in the State and save the tax-payers a vast amount of money, both in taxes and utility bills.

I also spoke out so eloquently at a precinct meeting that I was asked to become a delegate to the State Convention. I was unable to accept, but I made a good, strong point that later became enacted into law.

I also worked on the campaign of a candidate for the Seattle City Council who, although he didn't win, garnered enough votes to make the incumbent change his policies.

So, Wrongsonger--and Goofball--what are YOU doing, other than saying "They're all the same!" (which they are NOT) and "A pox on both their houses!" ???

And flicking your usual snot-balls at people who are actually doing something in the world to improve things?

A PERFECT example of it is the thread "RE: BS: So who's signed up for Obamacare?"..Note the exchange between Don Firth and 'Nobody in Particular'(NiP) ...'NiP's only real objection was that Obama lied to promote the ACA....and look at the treatment he/she received, and accusations and spinning into the land of contortions Don went through, while embarrassing the whole of Mudcat's posters!...but the simple fact remains, that Obama lied, and the insurance companies now have a law forcing people to buy their shit, at a higher price, that they don't need, want...or for that matter, even get! ..I was away from the computer for a few weeks, but when I got back on, I was astounded when I read the thread...and NO, Don and Ebbie...NiP and I are not the same people...I don't think I could have been that polite and patient while dealing with Mr. Turpitude, that long!..while he bold faced lied his way to the end of the thread!!!...and when he wasn't lying, he was justifying Obama's lying!!
...not that I want to pick on Don, but he is a perfect example, in that (among other) threads, of how corrupt politicians hide behind 'noble causes' while forcing crooked agendas!!
READ the thread..it'll blow you away, as to the tactics of how bullshit gets spread!...NiP had government healthcare, he/she even called for people to make constructive suggestions..he/she had no issues with the ACA bill, other than the deception used to promote it...and look how they threw every bullshit tactic out of the 'so-called liberals' playbook at him/her!!

How long have I been harping on about 'corruption'??....five years or so??....How many times have you seen the words, 'so-called liberals'??? I hope it's starting to sink in, that some of you have been had. For what it's worth, the World Socialist Website is Marxist. They support workers' causes. In doing that, they are honor-bound to point out the fascist tendencies of both the Democratic and Republican parties in America. Like myself, they gave Obama the benefit of the doubt at the beginning of his first term, but it quickly became apparent he was just more of the same, serving the 1%.

I'm a moderate, with FDR leanings. Moderate in America nowadays means fascist (like Obama's National Socialism), but I like the more leftist FDR style of rule. Obama's doing what he can to dismantle FDR's New Deal. While Democrats think he's upholding it. Power of the government-controlled media.

The good news is that young people aren't buying it anymore. The 18-24 age group is becoming virulently anti-Obama. They see the scam of Obamacare for what it is (buckets of money to the insurance companies, no insurance for the young), and Obama's losing that demographic. Maybe already has, in just two short weeks. And he won't get it back. Kids don't have as much invested in the system, and they call bullshit when they see it. So Obama's entering his phase of decrepitude. Hopefully he'll resign. Or overdose on crack.

By the way.....if the story is true, Social Security only goes up about 11/2%...minimum wages go up about 20%, which means those who are on S.S. lose out due to the inflation the minimum raise is going to incur, unemployment gets cut(or not extended), people are being forced to buy insurance.....not good for the people....who are out of work, benefits, and S.S. is not keeping up with inflation......

....has anybody seen those shovel ready jobs???
