Subject: RE: Duncan Phillips house concert So. Portland1/10/14 From: jacqui.c Date: 11 Jan 14 - 07:24 PM One great concert. Duncan has a load of stories of life growing up with his Dad and of his travels on the road with Utah. He makes the songs his own, but is clearly his father's son with a lot of the same humour coming through during the evening. Kate is a delight - a beautiful voice, whether singing her own songs or Utah's, and just a lovely person. We were fortunate enough to have the company of Deb Cowan, who has been in email correspondence with Duncan on union matters and who sang a song at the end of the evening. Many thanks to Deb and Tom Coward for hosting this evening - it was defeintely worth coming out to hear these performers. Duncan joined us for breakfast this morning before heading off back to Massachusetts for a performance tonight. Both he a Kate will be welcome back anytime. |
