Subject: D'Aquisto guitar strings demised? From: Richard Bridge Date: 12 Dec 13 - 03:53 AM I gather from elsewhere that D'Aquisto guitar strings have ceased tobe. That's a bit of a nuisance. If I ever wanted a set of boomers I'd use their 740 set (13-58). 1. Can anyone verify? 2. Can anyone offer enlightenment on precisely what went wrong? 3. Can anyone suggest recommended alternatives with a sweet zing at the top and a big fat loud bottom, and preferably good durability? |

Subject: RE: D'Aquisto guitar strings demised? From: Richard Bridge Date: 12 Dec 13 - 10:55 AM Ah. Minor snag. I'm in the UK and stuff from the USA suffers customs delays and charges and high delivery costs. |

Subject: RE: D'Aquisto guitar strings demised? From: GUEST Date: 13 Dec 13 - 03:47 AM I like D'Addario 85/15 strings: which I get from http://www.highlystrung.co.uk |
Subject: RE: D'Aquisto guitar strings demised? From: Richard Bridge Date: 13 Dec 13 - 11:07 AM Thank you both Guests. Nothing with a 58 bottom string on either. I have ordered some NoS D'Aquisto brass in 13-58 and I will see what they do. If they are not good (or once the old stock has run out) I'll probably finish up back on Elixir Nanowebs in light-medium ie 12-56. |
