Tom Madden, 5 string banjo, features on 'Le Chéile', the second lp produced by a group of musicians based at the White Hart, Fulham Broadway, Sw6 in the early 1970s. Included also were late Raymond Roland

You are spot on there Gealt , u 2 Betsy. He used to hang out with a lot of Scotty lads.He was a wonderful guy & such a fun person & what a humble (but brillo ) musician , but his voice ---omg .Think he later toured with Kevin Burke in FIRE HOSE REEL ,i stands to be corrected

Wasn't that 'Lazy Reel'? Saw them at Wokingham Folk Club sometime around 1972 if memory serves. Tom Madden, Kevin Burke and Chris Andritti(?) Great music. Didn't realise what I was listening to untill years later!

I have an old LP [no date given] titled 'The Little Thatched Cabin' Inchecronin Records INC 7727 [distributed by Tara Enterprises, Dublin] by Tom Madden and Frank Warren - Madden vocal, banjo, guitar and Warren concertinas, harmonium, whistle. Is this the same Tom Madden? I recall it was a most enjoyable record - I haven't played it in decades.
