Just published - 'Music in a Breeze of Wind' traditional dance music in west Clare, by Barry Taylor - co-author of 'Touchstone of the Tradition' - history of the Willie Clancy Summer School.
Large format paperback, 350+ pages, a history of the music of West Clare largely through interviews with local musicians and including a wealth of photographs - extensively referenced.
The author's experience in Clare music dates back to the mid-1970s.
Well worth a look.

It was launched a week ago at the author's home town of Cooraclare, south west Clare and is not yet widely available.
It will be on sale at the forthcoming concert at the Armada Hotel, Spanish Point, Clare, on January 18th and at the Concertina Cruinniú on February 14th, 15th and 16th in Miltown Malbay
Barry will be speaking on his work in Clare at the next Willie Clancy Summer School in July.
