Subject: RE: Richard's Reggae Disco From: Richard Bridge Date: 31 Dec 13 - 08:36 PM I have almost none of my vinyl from back then. I might have tapes of some. You should try Jimmy Cliff's "Justice" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAfNQlBa44I and pretty well any Prince Buster - here's probably his best known "Al Capone" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaDx6_-WbLs. I always Loved this one from Derrick Harriott http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfmjpBDjiWc Then of course there were other reggae bands - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwxfsOXq2w8 |

Subject: Richard's Reggae Disco From: GUEST,CS Date: 31 Dec 13 - 05:52 PM This thread is primarily directed at Mudcat member Richard Bridge - respected lawyer and lecturer - who has unbeknownst to some, a shady past as a reggae DJ! If you have time Richard please link to videos or sound files of some top classic reggae tunes of yor, as it seems I kno nuthing about this. And of course anyone else who fancies contributing to the retro reggae discotheque, please do so likewise. |
