I'm looking for the lyrics to a song called "Traveling Man" that I heard Roy Book Binder sing. This is not the Pink Anderson tune:
"People let me tell you 'bout a man named _______
His home is down in Tennessee..."

but an entirely different 12 bar blues that starts:

I'm a travelin' man and I'm on the road again,
Yes a travelin' man and I'm on the road again,
I don't know where I'm goin' but I'll tell you where I've been...."

TRAVELIN' MAN BLUES
As sung by Roy Book Binder on "Singer-Songwriter Bluesman" (2001)

Well, I'm travelin' man and I'm all alone and I'm on the road again.
I'm a travelin' man on the road again,
Travelin' man on the road again.
I don't know where I'm goin'; gonna tell you where I've been.

Been to Norfolk town down Virginia way.
Been to Norfolk town down Virginia way.
I've been to Norfolk town down Virginia way.
I had me a rider there; Lord, just could not stay.

I said she treated me kind as she held my hand, held me through the night.
Held my hand and held me through the night.
Held my hand and she held me through the night.
I didn't mean to treat her wrong, but I sure didn't treat her right.

Travelin' man and I'm all alone and I'm on the road again.
Travelin' man and I'm on the road again.
I'm a travelin' man and I'm on the road again.
Don't know where I'm goin' but I'm gonna tell you where I've been.

I left goin' south through the Carolinas, gonna see my good friend Pink.
Carolinas, gonna see my good friend Pink.
Carolinas, see my good friend.
When I got down there, he'd gone and I didn't know what to think.

Then I looked around and I hung my head and the tears began to fall.
Hung my head and the tears began to fall.
Hung my head and the tears began to fall.
He was a good-time rounder, Lord, but he ain't around and(?) no more.

Yes, I'm a travelin' man and I'm all alone and I'm on the road again,
A travelin' man and I'm on the road again.
I'm a travelin' man and I'm on the road again.
I don't know where I'm goin'; tell you where I've been.

I lost my good gal, lost my friend, don't know what to do.
Lost my good gal and I don't know what to do.
Lost my good gal and I don't know what to do.
I guess I won't unpack my bags; I guess I'll travel through.

I crossed that border into Georgia; Florida's on my mind.
Crossed that border with Florida on my mind.
Crossed that border with Florida on my mind.
Guess I'm gonna have to go back home where the women do treat me kind.

Yes, I'm a travelin' man and I'm all alone and I'm on the road again.
A travelin' man and I'm on the road again.
I'm a travelin' man and I'm on the road again.
I don't know where I'm goin'; tell you where I've been.

It just occurred to me that the line I marked with "(?)" is probably:

"He was a good-time rounder, Lord, but he ain't a-roundin' no more."

It threw me at first because I never heard "rounding" used as a verb that way before. I suppose "rounding" is whatever rounders do.

I've never seen a definition or etymology of "rounder" that satisfied me, but I suspect it originally meant a migrant worker, or anybody who continually moved from place to place looking for temporary work. I suppose a musician who travels from gig to gig could be called a rounder. People with no apparent permanent ties to a community are often viewed with suspicion, which might be why "rounder" acquired connotations of drunkenness, debauchery, and dishonesty.
