Subject: RE: Sessions Prince Edward Island From: meself Date: 16 Jan 14 - 02:59 PM There are one or two Irish pubs in Charlottetown that have regular sessions; can't think of the names. Maybe Old Triangle is one. In June, the summer 'ceilidhs' and 'kitchen parties' should be getting under way (weigh?) - not to be confused with ceilidhs and kitchen parties, these events are little concerts, at which, often, unscheduled musicians are allowed or invited to perform, after the stars have done their bit. Islanders tend to be pretty easy socially; shouldn't be hard to make contacts when you're there .... There are a few fiddling sessions that go on here and there year round. Shouldn't be hard to find what's happening with our friend google. You might want to try hitting up the Benevolent Irish Society for a gig. |
Subject: RE: Sessions Prince Edward Island From: gnu Date: 16 Jan 14 - 03:47 PM Ere ye travellin overland? If so, there are many spots in NB that ye may wish to consider en route or ex route. I may have to be nudged by a PM if any more info is required as I sometimes don't keep up with such threads. |
