Subject: RE: FolkWales Online Magazine is out now From: GUEST,Peter Date: 22 Jan 14 - 11:30 AM Followed a handful of the links and there were quite a few inconistencies. Keeping a listing site up to date is a hard and thankless job, people only notice the mistakes and take the correct information for granted. Not helped by club and session organisers who seem determined to make sure that nobody knows when the club moves or closes even if asked to confirm that details are up to date. Worse still are the user updated sites where people will put in their details and then just forget about them. If it was my site I would cut back the coverage geographically to one small enough to be able to keep in touch with all the organisers. |

Thoroughly enjoyed reading through this issue. Great job. Thank you! Can't comment on the accuracy of the listings, but I did pick up a couple of clubs I did not know about which I might be able to visit on future travels. So, thank you for this also. |
Subject: RE: FolkWales Online Magazine is out now From: Mr Happy Date: 21 Jan 14 - 09:47 AM The events list is still years out of date despite myself [& probably others too] providing updates. I'd suggest anyone considering going anywhere on the lists to check up before travelling. If the editor can't keep the list correct, it ought to be omitted |
